The Blue Mountains
If you drive about 90 minutes west of Sydney along the Great Western Highway (about 2 hrs if you get lost in the suburbs as we did), you will reach the Blue Mountains. This plateau region forms a elevated series of National Parks with impressive cliffs and waterfalls.

The Three Sisters. An impressive series of rock pinnacles near Katoomba. There is a pathway down the side of these cliffs that consists of 900 steps. A self-selected group of us foolishly decided to head down and check them out (below). A smaller group walked back up them as well. There is another way up that does not involve climbing. For the record, Steve Fischer made it back to the top first

We happy few at the bottom of the 900 steps. M.L. Klotz was at the top taking photos of each sweaty body that made it back up. Being rather sweaty, Steve, Briana and Devon decided that they needed to freshen up a little (below).

Jess ignores the fact that she is leaning over a 500 foot cliff.

Steve, Briana, Devon and Laura doing something that seems to be giving them all great pleasure.
