
Kata Tjuta. Mount Olga is on the left. This is a series of rock domes
about 40km to the west of Uluru. While they are geologically related to
Uluru, they are structurally distinct with a different, more aggregate type
of rock. While they are regarded as sacred, and visitors are required not
to climb on the domes, access is possible through a series of gorges and
valleys.

Dead Ghost Gum tree in the heart of the Valley of the Winds Walk 
This is the River Red Gum tree. The presence of springs in the heart of Kata Tjuta makes for a surprisingly lush landscape.
