Student Endorsements

As a chemistry major at SU, I am part of a select group of students who are hardworking and dedicated.  Most people seem incredulous when I tell them I’m a chemistry major, but the Chemistry Department is something I’m very proud to be a part of.  Susquehanna gave me an opportunity to conduct undergraduate research in the first semester of my freshman year, an opportunity I would not have received elsewhere.  You may not have all of the easiest classes at the best times, but when you can declare with pride that you’re a chemistry major, the respect from others is worth it.”
--- Deanna Snyder, Chemistry major, Class of 2009.

“I was impressed with the variety and quality of the science facilities at SU. The professors and their experience really had a lot to do with my decision, too. Now that I'm here, I know that I made the right choice.  My professors are so approachable, and they don't just cruise along in class, either. If you have a question or concern, they will take time to help you out. They want everyone to succeed."
--- Gregory Trout, Chemistry and Physics major, Class of 2010.

“One of the best parts about the Chemistry department is how close the faculty is with the students. Very rarely do I walk past an office door and see it closed. The faculty is always there and willing to help you if you need them. With such a small department, it was easy to get to know many of the professors, even if you don't have them in class. It's good to know that when the workload gets tougher, there's always someone there to back you up and explain what's going on. There's never a dull moment, and never anyone left without an answer in the end."

--- Kristen Prozialeck, Chemistry major, Class of 2010.
