Neal Lesher

Neal Lesher – President

Neal is a senior Political Science major from Palmyra, Pennsylvania with a minor in Economics. In addition to his role as President, Neal is also member of the Men’s Rugby team, Pre-Law Society, SU College Republicans, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Neal also previously served as President of the Class of 2008. He chose to get involved in Student Government because he enjoys having a daily impact on the quality of life at Susquehanna. He was drawn to Susquehanna by the small class sizes, friendly atmosphere, and the one on one interaction with faculty members.

Mike Ubbens

Mike Ubbens – Vice President

Mike is a junior Political Science and Secondary Education major from Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania. Mike is involved in a variety of organizations on campus. He is a member of the Phoenix Mentoring Project, President of the SU College Republicans, and is also a member of the PA College Republicans State Board. Mike chose Susquehanna University because it was full of opportunities to get involved on a multitude of levels. He chose to get involved in SGA because he felt that he could make a difference on this campus on a campus-wide level. Mike loves Susquehanna University and the great relationships he has made throughout his time here.

James Baublitz

James Baublitz – Treasurer

James Baublitz is a finance/history/philosophy major from Glen Rock, PA. A senior, he will be graduating in May of 2008 and plans to pursue a career in the finance industry. He joined SGA in 2006 as a senator, was junior class vice-president in 2007, and moved to class president before taking over as treasurer in 2008. He joined SGA because he enjoyed being involved in the decisions of the university, as well as contributing his opinions and those of his friends to the senate.

Megan Patrick

Megan Patrick – Secretary

Megan Patrick is a biology major in the class of 2009. Her hometown is Hershey, Pennsylvania, home of the Hershey chocolate bar. She chose Susquehanna because of its small size and professor-student ratio. On campus, she is involved in the worship team for Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, biology club, and health care club. As secretary of SGA, she is able to be a part of making a change on campus, which is one reason that she ran. SGA is also an excellent way to get involved in things on campus and know who and what is available to help you achieve your goals. As far as biology, her interests lie in the health care field, possibly optometry. So, she is hoping to attend graduate school and then see where life takes her after that.

Gilbert

Brian Gilbert – Parliamentarian

Brian is a sophomore Political Science and Economics Double Major from Elliottsburg, Pennsylvania with a minor in Music Performance. He is also a member of the Honors Program. At Susquehanna, Brian keeps active with a variety of music ensembles and organizations. As far as music is concerned, he performs with the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and Stadium Band as a percussionist, as well as singing with the University Choir and Chamber Singers. He chose to get involved with SGA because his brother was involved at school and he liked the thought of making a positive impact on Susquehanna. Susquehanna is already a great place and he is happy to do his job to make it that much better for future students.
