SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University senior offensive guard Mark Hamilton has been selected to the Division III all-star team that will represent the United States in the 2004 Aztec Bowl in Cancun, Mexico on Saturday.

Hamilton (West Chester, PA/Downingtown) will be in uniform as the squad faces the Mexican national team at Estadio Cancun 86 on Saturday at 5 p.m.

He is the second Susquehanna player to participate in the Aztec Bowl, joining Matt Wichlinski who appeared in the 1998 game.

A second-team All-East selection by Don Hansen's Football Gazette , Hamilton earned first-team All-Middle Atlantic Conference honors for the second straight season after helping the Crusaders rank second in the MAC in scoring offense (30.6 points per game), fourth in rushing offense (181.2 yards per game) and fourth in passing offense (197.5 yards per game).

A three-year starter on the offensive line, Hamilton played right guard for the past two years after starting at left tackle in 2002 following his transfer from Rhode Island.

In addition to Hamilton, the MAC is represented by Albright wide receiver Nick Cushman, Wilkes running back Brett Trichilo and Delaware Valley offensive lineman Jamie Kleinle.
