Crusader Football to Host "Community Appreciation Day"
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna University department of athletics announces that no admission will be charged at Saturday's home football game against Wilkes in recognition of “Community Appreciation Day.” The Crusaders annually rank among the leaders in the Middle Atlantic Conference in home football attendance and wish to honor the support that all of its athletic teams receive by waiving admission for Saturday's game. “The long-lasting connection between Susquehanna University and the community has been a strong one,” said director of athletics Pam Samuelson. “Community Appreciation Day provides us an ideal opportunity to thank everyone for their continuing support.” “Our team is extremely grateful to everyone for the backing that we receive on an annual basis,” said head coach Steve Briggs. “It means so much to our kids to hear and see the fans who pack Lopardo Stadium year in and year out.” Saturday's game between the Crusaders (3-2 overall, 2-2 MAC) and the Colonels (2-3 overall, 2-2 MAC) will kick off at 1:30 p.m.
