Reppert, Meara Named All-Conference in Field Hockey
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University junior defender Shelley Reppert and junior midfielder Caitlin Meara have been named to the All-Commonwealth Conference field hockey team, as selected by the league's eight head coaches and released on Tuesday. Reppert was named to the first team while Meara was a repeat selection to the second team as the Crusaders finished 8-9 overall and in fifth place in the conference with a 3-4 record under second-year head coach Amy Zimmerman . Reppert (Hamburg, PA/Hamburg) , a second-team selection in 2003 and co-Rookie of the Year in 2002, helped lead a Crusader defense that compiled a 1.62 goals against average and six shutouts this season. She also finished with two assists and led the team with three defensive saves while starting all 17 games. Meara (Wilmington, DE/Concord) led the Crusaders with seven assists and finished fourth on the team in points with nine. She has started 55 consecutive games spanning her entire Susquehanna career and has nine goals and 15 assists for 33 points in three seasons to rank fifth on the career assist list.
