SELINSGROVE, PA – Susquehanna University senior split end Duane Park has been selected as the team's Gus Weber Crusader Player of the Week, sponsored by the Golden Corral Family Steak House along Routes 11 & 15 in Shamokin Dam.

Park (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove) made a team-high six catches for 98 yards and two touchdowns in the Crusaders' 49-35 loss at King's on Saturday in Wilkes-Barre.

Park hauled in scores of 22 and 16 yards late in the fourth quarter from Justin Wutti for the first two-touchdown game of his career. He also fell just two yards shy of his second 100-yard game of the season and his career.

For the year, Park is second on the team with 26 catches for 410 yards (15.8 average) and three touchdowns. He also ranks sixth in the Middle Atlantic Conference in punt returns with an average of 7.1 yards per runback.

The Golden Corral will donate a check for $100 in the name of Park to the charity of his choice during Friday's Quarterback Club luncheon at noon in the Shearer-Weber Dining Rooms in the Degenstein Campus Center on the Susquehanna campus.

Now in their eighth year of sponsorship of the Gus Weber Player of the Week award, Golden Corral has donated $7,000 to charity in the names of Susquehanna players.

The Player of the Week award is named after former Susquehanna University president Gustave Weber , who served as president of Susquehanna for more than 18 years and was a former standout player at Wagner College . He was an avid booster of Crusader athletics, and in particular the football team, which he coached for the final two games of the 1965 season.

The Crusaders (3-4 overall, 2-4 MAC) travel to Albright (5-2 overall, 4-2 MAC) on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
