Snyder Named Men's Soccer Player of the Week
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – For the third time this season and the fourth time in his brief career, Susquehanna University sophomore forward Nate Snyder has been named the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week in men's soccer for the week ending October 10, the conference office announced Monday. Snyder (Catawissa, PA/Southern Columbia) scored three goals and added an assist as the Crusaders picked up wins over Juniata and New Jersey City last week. Snyder scored the Crusaders' opening goal in their 3-1 victory over Juniata after Susquehanna trailed early 1-0, then broke loose with two goals and an assist in a wild 4-3 come-from-behind victory over the Gothic Knights, including his 13 th goal of the season with 55 seconds left for his sixth game-winning goal of the season. Snyder's 13 goals lead the Commonwealth Conference and are just three shy of the school record of 16 set by Dan Travelet in 1965, while his 20 career goals rank eighth in program history. The Crusaders are idle until hosting Lebanon Valley on Saturday at 12 noon.
