SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna University men's and women's soccer teams have been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for each having team grade-point averages of 3.0 or higher during the 2003-04 academic year. A total of 363 intercollegiate soccer programs (73 men, 290 women) qualified for NSCAA/adidas Team Academic Award with just 53 schools, including Susquehanna, having both their men's and women's teams recognized. The Crusader men's soccer team finished 8-10-1 in 2003 and qualified for the Commonwealth Conference playoffs for the first time in program history, while the women went 11-8 and made their second straight trip to the league's postseason. In addition, Susquehanna placed five men's and seven women's players on the Middle Atlantic Conference All-Academic Team following the 2003 season. Both teams were coached by Jim Findlay , who was named Commonwealth Conference men's Coach of the Year in 2003 and women's Coach of the Year in 2002 and 2004.
