Women's Basketball Picked Sixth in Commonwealth Poll
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna University women's basketball team has been picked to finish sixth in the Commonwealth Conference during the upcoming season, as selected by the league's eight head coaches and released by the conference on Tuesday. The Crusaders return four starters from last season's team that finished 7-18 overall and tied for sixth place in the conference last season with a 3-11 mark under head coach Liz Cranmer Briggs , who enters her third season at Susquehanna. Lebanon Valley was picked by the coaches to win the Commonwealth regular-season title with 47 points, followed by Messiah, Moravian, Widener, Elizabethtown, Susquehanna, Albright and Juniata. The Crusaders open the 2004-05 season at Houts Gymnasium on Saturday, November 20 at 6 p.m. against Ursinus in the Pepsi/Weis Markets Tip Off Tournament.
