Paulshock, Nevins Named Academic All-District

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University senior forwards Jess Paulshock and Lindsay Nevins have been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District II College Division Women's Soccer team, as voted upon by members of CoSIDA and released Thursday.

Paulshock (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) was a second-team selection while Nevins (Basking Ridge, NJ/Gill-St. Bernards) was voted to the third team. To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a starter with a 3.2 or higher cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or significant reserve.

Paulshock was named Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year after finished the regular season tied for the conference lead with a school-record 19 goals and second in points with 43, also a program record. She scored at least one goal in 12 of the Crusaders' 19 games and led the league with five game-winning goals.

Off the field, she is a writing major with a 3.40 grade-point average and is a member of the Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society, the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and the Circle K Kiwanis Volunteer Organization. Paulshock is also co-chair of the Senior Challenge Committee.

Nevins earned All-Conference honors all four seasons of her career, capturing second-team honors in 2001 and 2004 and first-team recognition in 2002 and 2003. She scored a career-high 11 goals and added five assists for 27 points in 18 games this season to rank second on the team in both goals and points.

Off the field, Nevins is a public relations major with a 3.53 grade-point average. She is a member of the Pi Delta Phi French Honor Society, the Lambda Pi Eta Communications honor society, is the webmaster for PRSSA, serves as head campus tour guide for the admissions office and served as sports chair of the Homecoming committee.

The District II College Division consists of all non-NCAA Division I colleges and universities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
