Baughman Named Men's Soccer Player of the Week
SELINSGROVE, PA – Susquehanna University sophomore Seth Baughman has been named the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week in men's soccer for the week ending October 30, the conference office announced Monday.
Baughman (Howard, PA/Central Mountain), who entered the week with one goal in 11 games this season, scored three goals in two games as the Crusaders secured the third seed in the upcoming Commonwealth Conference playoffs with wins over Lebanon Valley (2-0) and Moravian (3-1).
Baughman scored an insurance goal with 6:21 left to secure the win over the Dutchmen, then tallied twice in less than seven minutes midway through the first half to give the Crusaders a 3-0 lead over the Greyhounds en route to the win, which was the first for Susquehanna over Moravian since 1996.
For the season, Baughman has four goals in 13 games for the Crusaders (9-7-1 overall, 4-2-1 Commonwealth), who play at Elizabethtown on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Commonwealth Conference semifinals.
