SELINSGROVE, PA – Susquehanna University junior Ryan Rispoli has been named the Commonwealth Conference Defender of the Week in men's soccer after leading the Crusaders to a pair of victories in action last week, the conference announced Monday.

Rispoli (Bath, PA/Northampton) recorded a pair of assists in the Crusaders' 3-1 victory at Lycoming in the fifth annual Battle of the Boot on Friday evening, then scored the game-winning goal on a corner kick three minutes into overtime in a 2-1 win at Misericordia on Sunday afternoon.

In addition to his offensive production, Rispoli has been part of a Crusader defense that has allowed just three goals in four games while holding its opponents to just 30 shots.

The Crusaders are off to a 4-0 start for the second consecutive season, with all four wins coming away from Sassafras Field, and will look for their fifth straight win on Wednesday night at Dickinson beginning at 7:00 p.m.
