Women's Tennis to Compete at MAC Championships
SELINSGROVE, PA – The Susquehanna University women's tennis team will be in action at the Middle Atlantic Conference Individual Tennis Championships to be held at Lehigh University on Saturday and Sunday. Champions will be crowned in six singles flights and three doubles flights.
The Crusaders finished their dual-meet schedule with an 5-6 overall record and 2-4 in the Commonwealth Conference under 12 th -year head coach Bob Jordan.
Senior Danielle Dormer (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East), the reigning Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year, will be in action at first singles after compiling a 9-2 record during the regular season. Dormer ranks second in program history in career victories with a 40-10 mark and will be looking to avenge an upset loss in the opening round last year.

Playing at second singles will be senior Sarah Boynton (Prince Frederick, MD/Calvert) who went 3-8 at that spot during 2005 and has a career record of 26-19. Last season, Boynton played at third singles and won her opening match before falling to Nicole Gruber of Moravian in the second round. 
Sophomore Brittany Reiman (Upper Black Eddy, PA/Palisades) will compete at third singles after posting a 6-5 record at that spot during the 2005 season. Last season, Reiman played in the fourth flight and received a bye into the second round where she lost via tiebreaker to Erin Jessen of Drew. 
Junior Jaclyn Shindler (York, PA/West York) will play at fourth singles after going 4-5 overall and 3-3 in that position this season. Shindler was a MAC quarterfinalist at sixth singles last season. 
Sophomore Katie Zimmerman (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg) will play at fifth singles for the second straight season after going 4-4 overall and 3-3 at flight five during the regular season. Zimmerman is seeking her first win in MAC championships play. 
Senior Emma Dunn (Furlong, PA/Central Bucks East) is the lone Crusader in the singles lineup without any conference tournament experience, and will play at sixth singles after a solid 2005 season that saw her compile an 8-2 overall record include a 5-2 mark at flight six.
Boynton and Dormer will team up at first doubles after going 5-4 as a duo during the 2005 season and 21-10 as partners for their careers. Last season they played at second doubles and were eliminated in their opening match. Zimmerman will play at second doubles with junior Allison Handman (Kingston, PA/Wyoming Seminary) after going 2-2 as partners during the regular season. Handman teamed with Jen Moyer at third doubles last year and advanced to the finals before losing 8-4 in a pro-set.

At third flight, Reiman will play with junior Lindsey Moll (Barto, PA/Upper Perkiomen) after the pairing compiled a 1-1 record during the season.
