SELINSGROVE , PA – Susquehanna University freshman tailback Dave Paveletz has been selected as the winner of the team's Gus Weber Crusader Player of the Week, sponsored by Family Buffet and Steaks along Routes 11 & 15 in Shamokin Dam.

Paveletz (Warrior Run, PA/Hanover Area) carried 26 times for 127 yards and a touchdown in the Crusaders' season-ending 28-14 loss to Lycoming on Saturday afternoon at Lopardo Stadium. He finished the season with 830 rushing yards on 190 carries and four touchdowns to rank third in the Middle Atlantic Conference in rushing.

Family Buffet and Steaks will donate a check for $100 in the name of Paveletz to the charity of his choice. Now in their 10th year of sponsorship of the Gus Weber Player of the Week award, Family Buffet and Steaks has donated $8,900 to charity in the names of Susquehanna players.

The Player of the Week award is named after former Susquehanna University president Gustave Weber , who served as president of Susquehanna for more than 18 years and was a former standout player at Wagner College . He was an avid booster of Crusader athletics, and in particular the football team, which he coached for the final two games of the 1965 season.
