SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University junior Chrissy Carfello has been named the Middle Atlantic Conference Player of the Week in women's lacrosse for the week ending March 20, the conference office announced Monday.

Carfello (Point Pleasant, NJ/Montville) scored seven goals on 10 shots as the Crusaders defeated Moravian 12-5 in their MAC opener on Saturday in Bethlehem.

She scored three goals in the first half as Susquehanna built a 7-2 halftime lead, then added four tallies in the second half for the second-highest single-game goal total of her career, behind only a nine-goal effort at Wilkes on March 24 of last season.

Carfello also finished with a team-high five ground balls and four caused turnovers along with four draw controls while playing all 60 minutes.

The Crusaders (2-2 overall, 1-0 MAC) host Elizabethtown on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
