SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University senior Heather Litzebauer has been named the Commonwealth Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week ending May 1, the conference announced Monday.

Litzebauer (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) pitched a perfect game in her final career start in a 4-0 win over Juniata on Saturday, striking out nine for her seventh career shutout and first no-hitter in 48 career starts.

She finished the season with a 2-4 record and a 1.73 earned run average in 11 games (nine starts), striking out 68 and walking just seven in 52 2/3 innings of work.

For her career, Litzebauer compiled a 26-20 record with a 1.57 earned run average in 58 games (48 starts). In 334 1/3 innings, she struck out 254 and walked just 52 while pitching 37 complete games.

Litzebauer ranks third in program history in strikeouts, third in earned run average, fifth in victories and first in fewest walks per seven innings (1.09).

The Crusaders finished the season with a 17-15 overall record and in sixth place in the Commonwealth Conference with a 4-10 league mark.
