Women's Lacrosse Earns MAC Postseason Honors

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Three Susquehanna University women's lacrosse players have earned Middle Atlantic Conference postseason honors as voted upon by the league's 11 head coaches and released Tuesday.

Junior defender Megan Lien was a first-team selection while senior midfielder Kristen Reineke and freshman midfielder Rachel Devilbiss were named to the second team. In addition, Devilbiss was voted as the MAC's Rookie of the Year as Susquehanna finished 6-8 overall and in fifth place in the MAC with a 5-5 record under third-year head coach Kate Scattergood.
Lien (Brunswick, ME/Brunswick) started all 14 games and tied for third on the team with 24 ground balls, ranked second on the squad with 16 caused turnovers and committed just nine fouls while playing all but 19 minutes and helping the Crusaders rank fourth in the conference in goals against average at 9.07.

Reineke (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) was a first-team All-MAC selection last season and led the conference in caused turnovers (2.85 per game) and was second in draw controls (3.92 per game), leading Susquehanna with 51 draw controls and 37 caused turnovers in addition to a team-high 50 ground balls.

On offense, Reineke scored 11 goals and added four assists for 15 points in 13 games, ranking fifth on the team in both goals and points.

Devilbiss (Taneytown, MD/Francis Scott Key) ranked second on the Crusaders with 24 goals and 29 points in 12 games, while adding 24 ground balls, 15 draw controls and 15 caused turnovers.
