Susquehanna Men's, Women's Track Nationally Ranked
SELINSGROVE, Pa . – The Susquehanna University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are ranked in the latest U.S. Track & Field Coaches Association Division III Power Rankings, through April 2.
The Crusader men are ranked eighth while the women's team is ranked 11 th in the most recent power rankings, which are done by using scoring tables to score each team's two best athletes in each event contested at the NCAA Division III national championships.
Susquehanna's men finished 40th in the final NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field power rankings while the women were 48th.
The Crusaders have already provisionally qualified two athletes for the NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships to be held May 25-27 at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois.
Junior Emily Lepley (Lewistown, PA/Lewistown) is fourth on the performance list in the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.67) and sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (14.98 seconds) while sophomore Ashley Moormann (Stanhope, NJ/Pope John XXIII) is ranked 14th in the javelin (130 feet, 4 inches).
The next rankings will be released on Tuesday, April 18.
