Schaufler Named All-MAC in Men's Lacrosse
SELINSGROVE, PA – Susquehanna University freshman A.J. Schaufler has been named second-team All-Middle Atlantic Conference at goalkeeper in men’s lacrosse, as voted upon by the league’s 11 head coaches and announced Thursday.
Schaufler (Bernardsville, NJ/Bernards) started all 14 games in goal for the Crusaders, and led the MAC in both save percentage (.617) and saves per game (16.21). He set a school single-season record with 227 saves and compiled a 10.06 goals against average, while making 20 or more saves in a game three times and allowing fewer than 10 goals in a game seven times.
The Crusaders finished with a 3-11 overall record and a 3-7 MAC mark under first-year head coach Ryan Gast.
