Men's Soccer Among NCAA Attendance Leaders
SELINSGROVE, PA - The Susquehanna University men's soccer team finished the 2006 season ranked among the top 25 programs in Division III in both total and average home attendance, the NCAA has announced.
The Crusaders drew 3,375 fans to 11 home games at Sassafras Field to rank 21 st in total attendance, while the average home crowd of 306 spectators ranks 23 rd among all NCAA Division III schools.
"To be ranked among the attendance leaders is a tribute to everyone who came out and supported the team during the season," said head coach Jim Findlay. "The players really thrived off the enthusiasm."
Susquehanna finished 10-8-2 overall in 2006, including 6-3-2 at Sassafras Field, and hosted the Commonwealth Conference championship match against Elizabethtown College .
