Devilbiss, Wilson Named All-MAC in Women's Lacrosse
SELINSGROVE, PA – Two Susquehanna University women’s lacrosse players have been named second-team All-Middle Atlantic Conference, as voted upon by the league’s 11 head coaches and announced Thursday.
Junior midfielder Rachel Devilbiss and sophomore defender Jessica Wilson were selected after helping the Crusaders to a 5-8 overall record and 4-6 MAC mark under first-year head coach Brenda Brewer.
Devilbiss (Taneytown, MD/Francis Scott Key), a first-team All-MAC selection in 2006 and the 2005 MAC Rookie of the Year, led the Crusaders with 35 points and finished second on the team with 26 goals and 37 draw controls. She ranks ninth in program history with 106 points and is eighth all-time in goals with 90.
Wilson (Harleysville, PA/Souderton) led the Crusaders with 43 ground balls in 13 games and ranked third in the MAC with an average of 3.31 ground balls per game. She also tied for third on the team with 16 caused turnovers, and added three goals and an assist for four points.
