SELINSGROVE, PA -- Susquehanna University senior Brian Ahearn (Avon, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) was named Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Ahearn helped Susquehanna take two of three from conference foe Catholic by winning the final game of the series. He went eight innings, allowing no earned runs on four hits while striking out 10 Cardinals to claim his first win of the season. He also helped his own cause with two hits from the designated hitter spot.

The Athlete of the Week selections are made by the Landmark Conference office. The conference chooses athletes of the week in softball, baseball and men's and women's track, field, tennis and lacrosse during the spring sports seasons.
