Mills Named to MAC Men's Basketball Honor Roll

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University senior forward Bubba Mills has been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference men's basketball Honor Roll for the week ending February 13, the conference office announced Monday.

Mills (Reading, PA/Reading Central Catholic) averaged 20.5 points and 9.5 rebounds while shooting 60 percent from the field last week. He finished with 20 points and seven boards in a 68-62 loss at Messiah on Tuesday, then followed with his fourth double-double in the last five games at Widener as he scored 21 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds in a 63-55 loss to the Pioneers.

Mills is the first Crusader player since Corey Green in 2000-01 to score 20 or more points in four straight games, while his seven double-doubles this season are the most since Chris Houser did it nine times during the 1994-95 season.

For the season, Mills is fifth in the Commonwealth Conference in scoring (16.0 points per game) and fourth in rebounding (7.8 per game). With two games remaining in his career, Mills needs just 20 points to become the 30 th player in program history to reach 1,000 points.

The Crusaders (3-19 overall, 0-12 Commonwealth) host Juniata on Tuesday night at 8 p.m. at O.W. Houts Gymnasium.
