Blanchard Named Second-Team All-Conference

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University senior center Skyra Blanchard has been named second-team All-Commonwealth Conference in women's basketball as voted upon by the league's eight head coaches and announced Tuesday.

Blanchard (Lewisburg, PA/Lewisburg) averaged 8.8 points and 10.2 rebounds per game to rank second in the conference in rebounding. She is also tied for sixth in the league with a team-best 2.36 steals per game.

She led the Crusaders in rebounding in 19 of the team's 25 games and scored in double figures 12 times. For the season, Blanchard recorded a Commonwealth Conference-high nine double-doubles and finished with 11 in her career.

Blanchard ranked third on the Crusaders in scoring while leading the team in rebounds (254), assists (46) and steals (59) and ranking second with 20 blocked shots.

For her career, Blanchard appeared in 92 games and scored 470 points (5.1 per game) while grabbing 676 rebounds (7.3 per game) to rank fifth on the school career list.

Susquehanna finished 12-13 overall and in fifth place in the Commonwealth Conference with a 7-7 league mark under third-year head coach Liz Cranmer Briggs.
