Jim Reed, Head Coach

Jim Reed begins his third season as the head coach of the Crusaders in 2007-08.
Reed was named head women's basketball and head women's golf coach in August 2005 after serving as head women's basketball coach at Wilkes University since July 2001, compiling a 27-71 record with the Lady Colonels including a 12-13 mark in 2002-03.
He is no stranger to Susquehanna, having served as an assistant women's basketball coach under Mark Hribar for three seasons from 1989-90 through 1991-92, and as a men's assistant under Frank Marcinek for two seasons from 1992-93 through 1993-94.
During his previous stint at Susquehanna, Reed also served as an assistant baseball coach from 1991 through 1994 and was the school's women's tennis coach during the 1993-94 season.
Reed is a 1985 graduate of Bucknell with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering, and worked as an engineer for four years before pursuing a career in coaching.
After leaving Susquehanna, Reed was an assistant men's basketball coach at the University of Indianapolis in 1994-95, and was an assistant girl's basketball coach at Indian Valley High School for three seasons from 1995-96 through 1997-98.
In 1998, Reed returned to Bucknell as assistant women's basketball coach and helped the Bison to a then school-record 20 victories in 2000-01 before moving to Wilkes.
Reed is a native of Reedsville, Pa. and is a 1981 graduate of the former Kishacoquillas High School, where he was a three-sport athlete and was team MVP in basketball as a senior. At Bucknell, Reed played one season of football as a defensive back and lettered twice in track and field.
