Tiffany Dugan ’00 completed her master’s degree in reading and language arts from Millersville University in June 2004. She lives in Hershey, Pa.

Angela Hoot ’00 is the corporate human resources manager at Weis Markets. She lives in Selinsgrove, Pa.

Tim Mosebey ’00 started his forth year at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.

Mark Yerger ’00 received his master’s degree in business administration, information systems management and finance from Drexel University LeBow College of Business, Philadelphia, Pa.

Heather Bader ’01 is pursuing a master of social work degree at Marywood University after spending two years as an Americorps VISTA member.

Garrett Bissell ’01 was hired as in-house counsel for Advantage Energy, Inc., a subsidiary of WPS Energy Services, Inc. WPS has operations in Michigan, Wisconsin, Canada, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Amy Getz ’01 is the marketing and public relations manager at the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Museum in Baltimore, Md.

John Keister ’01 is a musician in the U.S. Army. He graduated from Armed Forces School of Music in Norfolk. He is stationed in Heidelberg, Germany, and assigned to the Army Band in Europe.

Former SU roommates David T. Little ’01 and Jesse Wright-FitzGerald ’02 were reunited at the Aspen Music Festival in Aspen, Colo. Little, who attended the festival in 2003 as a fellow in the composition master class, returned upon the invitation of Maestro David Zinman, who awarded Little the 2004 Jacob Druckman Award for Orchestral Composition. Little’s composition, “SCREAMER! —a three-ring blur for orchestra,” which was read in 2003 by the Conductor’s Orchestra , was performed at the 2004 festival as a result of this award. In addition, “SCREAMER!” premiered on the West Coast this summer under the baton of Maestra Marin Alsop at the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music in Santa Cruz, Calif., where Little served as a composer-in-residence. Wright-FitzGerald attended the Aspen Music Festival as a member of the composition studio program. As part of the program, he received weekly lessons from world-class composers such as Sydney Hodkinson and George Tsontakis. During the festival, Jesse heard the premiere of his new work “Burning the Veil,” a trio for clarinet, violin and piano, and had his 2003 work “Fantasy for Orchestra: Red Sky at Daybreak” read by the Aspen Conductor’s Orchestra.

Brian Beissel ’02 has been named vicar at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lancaster, Pa.

Dana Chipko ’02 is employed at Tierney Communications in Philadelphia. She is working on a project for the State of Pennsylvania to organize a voter registration program for student registration on college campuses.

Melissa Trego
Melissa Trego ’00 received a doctor of optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She also won the Alcon Clinical Excellence Award. She will be pursuing a Ph.D. at Cardiff University, in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom, in cellular and molecular biology of the visual system and plans to study the role of crystalline proteins within the retina as protective “chaperone molecules” against the effects of oxidative insult and aging. In addition to her doctoral studies, Melissa will see patients at the optometry clinic at Cardiff University.

Jennifer Dorman ’02 is a second-grade teacher at Centerville Elementary in the Hempfield School District. She lives in Lancaster, Pa.

Robert Hauer ’02 married Shelly Hess, Oct. 25, 2003, at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Bloomsburg, Pa. Robert is a senior loan officer for Superior Home Mortgage in New Cumberland, Pa. They live in Hummelstown, Pa.

Cheryl Urquhart ’02 is a first-grade teacher at Fishkill, N.Y., Elementary School. She lives in Fishkill.

Jesse Wright-FitzGerald ’02 is pursuing a master’s degree in composition at the Syracuse University College of Visual and Performing Arts. He was awarded the New York Federation of Music Clubs’ 2004 Brian M. Israel Prize for his composition, “String Quartet No. 1, A Rime of Desire.” See also 2001 notes.

Jeanne Mielke ’03 is the director of Empire Beauty School. She lives in Trevorton, Pa.

Megan Steppe ’03 joined the faculty at St. John’s School of the Arts in March as a piano and oboe instructor. She lives in Williamsport, Pa.

Samantha Stoner ’03 married Anthony Maggio, Jan. 20, 2004, at the Wailea Marriott in Maui, Hawaii. Samantha is a loan specialist at Allstate Mortgage and Loan Corp. in Clearwater, Fla.

Jessica Talar ’03 is attending Seton Hall Law School in South Orange, N.J.

James Varghese ’03 is a credit analyst in the Pennsylvania loan analysis department of M&T Bank, Harrisburg.

Lisa Sangster ’01 married Torrance Cleveland ’00, on July 24, 2004, at the Valley Forge Presbyterian Church in King of Prussia, Pa. The reception was at the Presidential. Torrance is a captain in the Army and they are stationed in Ft. Lee, Va. Torrance was in Iraq at the beginning of the war for six months and may be redeployed. Stephanie Eden ’04 is employed at URS Corporation in King of Prussia, Pa. She lives in Bensalem, Pa.

Addie Falger ’04 is a meeting coordinator for Watson Wyatt Worldwide in Washington, D.C. She lives in Arlington, Va.

Carolyn Filandro ’04 is a fourth-grade teacher in Oakland, N.J.

Nicole Fiorentino ’04 is a third-grade teacher in Heredia, Costa Rica.

Anne C. Ford ’04 married Benjamin Behler, May 1, 2004, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in State College, Pa. Hannah Gilbert ’04 and Andrea Betten ’02 were in the wedding party. Anne is studying library science at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She and Benjamin live in State College.

Patricia Gabel ’04 married Jeffrey Fortenbaugh, June 12, 2004, at her family’s farm in Newport, Pa. Amber Rickard ’04 was the maid of honor. Patricia is a pharmacy technician at Harrisburg Pharmacy. They live in Liverpool, Pa.

Peter Haberkost ’04 is a fifth-grade teacher at Kerrydale Elementary in Woodbridge, Va.
