Novack leads strategic initiatives and oversees content for the university's website. He led Susquehanna’s most recent website redesign, serving as project manager and lead editor for the initiative. His responsibilities also include content management and contributor support in the RedDot content management system. Novack's group also manages the university's social media communities and video communication efforts.
Novack previously served as assistant director of communications with Susquehanna. In that role, he managed key university print and electronic communication projects, including recruitment publications, the university course catalog, capital campaign communications and Susquehanna Today magazine. In 2008, his print communication work was recognized by CUPRAP, The Association of Communicators in Education, with three CUPPIE awards.
Novack has 15 years of experience in electronic communication and marketing in corporate and higher education settings. His background includes stints designing presentation systems for an A/V house, heading up marketing and public relations for a private New Hampshire college, and managing the marketing for Boston University’s Computer Career Programs.
His work on the Susquehanna website has been recognized by CASE District II with a Gold 2010 Accolades Award—landing top honors in the Website: Institutional Home Page category. Novack’s efforts also have earned a 2010 Gold CUPPIE Award in the Website Redesign category.
