Teen Summer Camp
Susquehanna University’s Kids’ College welcomes the return of the Teen Summer Camp. This year's experience, again, challenges campers to think critically, work collaboratively and solve problems creatively through their involvement in a variety of dynamic, hands-on activities that encourage communication and cooperation in a nurturing, engaging educational environment.
This year’s offerings will be available to those students who have just completed grades 6, 7 and 8. Students will have the option to participate in this morning camp experience during the week of June 22 - 26 from 8:30 a.m.–12 p.m.
Given the desire to provide a quality experience as well as the interactive nature of camp offerings a total of 45 grade-level slots are available and early registration is encouraged.
Bring a friend and receive $20 off each registration. Register between April 1 and May 31 with a friend, and each of you will receive $20 off. Both registrations must be received on the same day to qualify. Refunds will be given the first day of camp.
Limited scholarships are available. Inquiries should be made through Susquehanna’s Office of Event Management at 570- 372-4354.

As a tour ship passenger you find yourself shipwrecked on a desert island and soon discover that you are not alone! The island is also inhabited by a group of castaways who, with the exception of a two-way radio that barely works, have lost contact with civilization. Together you try to find a way off the island but when the radio is suddenly misplaced, everyone starts to wonder! This light-hearted mystery provides an opportunity for scientific fun as well as a creative thinking and team building experience!
Jackie Sheaffer, Instructor
Using old junk and a popular game show as inspiration, our recycled version of Junkyard Wars will give teen campers the chance to create in a new and unique way. In addition to having fun with various scrapheap related projects, this task-based session includes both individual and team problem solving challenges that involve old junk, scraps and recyclables. Come prepared for lots of laughs as you help to downsize the local junkyard and solve problems in the process!
