ANNOUNCE EACH SCALE BEFORE YOU PLAY IT. For example, you would say, “G major scale.” Then you would play the G major scale.
- Following the scales, play the excerpt or piece for your instrument in the order that they appear. Try to observe metronome markings as best you can. ANNOUNCE EACH EXCERPT BEFORE YOU PLAY IT. Simply say “Excerpt 1” for the first excerpt and “Excerpt 2” for the second excerpt if there is a second excerpt.
