Wind Ensemble Institute
Susquehanna University offers a unique summer performance experience for high school students. The university reviews audition recordings and invites 54 gifted woodwind, brass and percussion players to campus for the Wind Ensemble Institute. This week-long, residential program focuses on chamber music and symphonic wind ensemble performance. Students work with Director of Bands Eric L. Hinton, Ph.D., HonFBC, as well as other distinguished Susquehanna faculty members. High school students entering grades 9-12 in the fall of 2014 are invited to apply. Selection is competitive.

- $560 if application and audition recording are postmarked on or before Jan. 1.
- $610 if application and audition recording are postmarked on or before March 1.
- $660 if application and audition recording are postmarked after March 1.
Applications will be accepted until all sections are filled.
Students must apply by April 1 to be considered for need-based and merit-based scholarships.
Students may audition on one of the instruments:
- Percussion (must audition on two of the following: timpani, snare drum or mallet percussion)
