Senior Scholars Day 2008

Senior Scholars Day was held on campus April 15, 2008. President L. Jay Lemons welcomed students, faculty and staff to this year's event in the Mellon Lounge of the Degenstein Campus Center. Nearly 140 senior students shared their research findings in the form of poster displays and oral presentations. Senior music students presented recitals as part of the program and senior graphic design students displayed artwork throughout the day in the Cunningham Center for Music and Art.

Research explored such issues as self-esteem in romantic relationships, the history of music therapy, racial progression, and impacts of an environmental education. The research presented also explored rising oil prices using Ethanol as a solution, patients view on health care, and personality and social network sites.

Foxes, wolf spiders, owls and sea urchins were among the creatures studied for some of the research. Peer influence, learning styles and personality traits were just a few of the topics presented in the area of human behavior.
