Academic Advancement Program

The Academic Advancement Program (AAP) is designed to help selected students make the transition to college life within the Susquehanna University community.

Each student enrolled in AAP is assigned to a professional staff member of the Center for Academic Achievement who serves as an academic mentor. Requirements include:

  • Meeting with your academic mentor weekly during the fall semester. Meetings during the first spring semester will be scheduled based on first semester performance. 
  • Attending at least seven tutoring sessions in subjects relevant to your coursework in each of the first two semesters. 
  • Maintaining a calendar to keep track of classes, appointments, practices, rehearsals and/or any other commitments. 
  • Organizing materials related to your coursework (and staying organized).
  • Reflecting on learning experiences as assigned, e.g., in a journal, online forum etc.
