Medicine on the Periphery: Public Health and the Biomedicalization of Yucatan, Mexico

Sowell, professor of history at Juniata College, will speak on the public health systems and changing disease environments of Mexcio in the 1950s.


February 25: Alexander Levy

7 p.m., Isaacs Auditorium, Seibert Hall
Levy, a Pittsburgh-area psychologist, will speak about his book The Orphaned Adult: Understanding and Coping with Grief and Change After the Death of our Parents (2000).


April: Nathalie Dupont

Date and location to be announced
Dupont, assistant professor of French Studies at Bucknell University, will speak about her research on contemporary French poetry and its connections to an "attack" of the body by and with language.
