The Susquehanna University Music Department sponsors a number of annual events for high school students. 

2014 Fall Festival O' Bones

The Fall Festival O’ Bones is a free, one-day trombone festival held annually at SU.  Participation is open to trombone players 9th grade or older.  The festival is a no-pressure and musically fulfilling day that will benefit any player.  Contact:  adamss@susqu.edu

Keyboard Fest

Sept. 20, 2014
A free, one-day festival for keyboard students and teachers. The event will feature Trevor Stephenson, an early-keyboard specialist, and members of the Susquehanna faculty. The program will feature a hands-on demonstration of the harpsichord, fortepiano and modern piano, followed by a master class. This event is ideal for players grades 9 and up; parents and teachers are encouraged to attend.  Contact:  niskala@susqu.edu.

 

Honors Band Festival

Feb. 20-22, 2015
This event is for advanced high school wind, brass, and percussion players. Students may be nominated by their band directors for this exciting festival! Contact: hinton@susqu.edu
