French Language & Culture
This GO program allows students to improve their French language skills by living and studying in Aix-en-Provence, France. The program focuses on full immersion into the French culture; students live in home-stays with French families and are surrounded with cafes, parks, museums, markets and restaurants that all offer opportunities to interact with and observe French culture.
Location: Aix-en-Provence, France (with excursions to the Luberon Region, Moustiers Ste. Marie/Lac Ste. Croix, Marseille/Avignon)
Dates: May 31 - July 13, 2013
Prerequisite: Pre-departure meetings, readings assignments, ideally at least one semester of French but willing beginners are welcomed.
Academic Credit: Two semester hours; this program and accompanying course satisfy the GO requirement. Students can take up to 6 semester hours of transfer credit. Students who have completed FRNC-102 prior to the trip will be able to complete the SU language requirement on this program.
Majors of Interest: Open to any major but particular interest to French minors, humanities/social sciences, international studies and education.

Cost: $7,700. Includes 6 semester hours in addition to 2 semester hours GO requirement, all flights, accommodations, activities, and some meals.
Financial Aid: Need-based financial aid may be available for students satisfying the GO requirement.
