Antigone Student Cast


Kate Cavazza is 21 years old. She participated briefly in theater at high school. Now, she is a junior at Susquehanna, majoring in political science with a minor in women’s studies.  She played Ismène.

Elizabeth Czuj is a first-year student from Pottstown, Pa. She is an international studies and French major. At Susquehanna, she is a member of Enactus, formerly SIFE, and the Honors Program.  She works in the modern language department as a student assistant and also in the Honors Program office. Although she does not have any theater experience, she is musically talented, as she has been playing the flute and piano for more than years. In this tragedy, she played the role of le choeur.

Julia Fox is a first-year student at Susquehanna. She lives with her parents and sister in Bethlehem, Pa. Julia is studying creative writing and French. Her goal is to be fluent in French, and she hopes to one day study literature in France. She spends most of her time reading and writing. She is also a member of Forum for Undergraduate Student Editors (FUSE) and the equestrian team. At home, she rides her favorite  horse, Murphy. This was her first experience with theater, but she has been surrounded by a lot of support. She played La Garde.  

Bryan Kelley plays Créon. He is a 19-year-old sophomore at Susquehanna. He is from Chambersburg, Pa. He was an exchange student in Belgium during his junior year of high school. This experience is what heightened his interest in French.

Karim Maimouni is 19 years old. He has very little experience in theater. It is his first time acting in a play. He played Hémon in the play Antigone. Karim is from Morocco and has lived there for 18 years. He is a business major and is planning to take French as a minor.

Taylor O'Connor is an 18-year-old first-year student, enjoying her first semester here at Susquehanna University. She is from the town of Limerick, Pa. She is currently an international studies and French double major, with a concentration on diplomacy. Taylor also holds the peacekeeping and counterinsurgency assistantship role here on campus and looks forward to the many opportunities the program will afford her. She played Antigone.  

Amy Sowers is 19 years old, and she is a sophomore at Susquehanna. She was involved in theatre throughout high school and is now a double theatre and French major. She performed in the one-act play festival in December, and she was the assistant house manager for Susquehanna's performance of Into the Woods. Amy plans on studying abroad in France in the fall 2013 semester. She played La Nourrice.
