Klotz teaches Social Psychology Environmental Psychology and Personality, as well as sections of Principles of Psychology, Research Methods, Directed Research and Independent Research. She also is faculty adviser for the Psychology Club. Klotz is the co-leader of the Focus Australia and GO New Zealand programs.

Klotz’s research interests are in interpersonal communication, particularly complaining, and interpersonal relationships. She currently is working with students on research investigating use of social networking sites (e.g., Facebook). She has presented with student co-authors at the annual meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association.
