Lovas teaches Developmental Psychology: Childhood, Developmental Psychology: Adulthood, Psychology of Gender, and Psychology, Culture, and Ethnicity, as well as sections of Principles of Psychology, Directed Research, and Independent Research. Lovas specializes in early social and emotional development and in gender and emotions across the lifespan; her current research focuses on early gender development in the context of parent/infant and parent/toddler interactions. She recently has published in the Infant Mental Health Journal. She has presented at the 115th Annual Meeting of the American Psychological Association and with student co-authors at the annual meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association.
