Modern Languages

Student Activity

The Modern Languages Department offers students the opportunity to practice their speaking skills every Thursday during lunch time with the language tables in one of the Shearer Dining Rooms. The department faculty and the Modern Language Fellows are available to converse with students in the language they are studying, and students also have the opportunity to speak with other students in a foreign language outside of the classroom.

Student Organizations
There are numerous activities organized by members of the French, Italian and German clubs, as well as HOLA, a club for students interested in Spanish language and Hispanic cultures.

Qualified, high- achieving students may gain admittance to Pi Delta Phi and Phi Sigma Iota honor societies.
