Department of Communications
Do you want to become a journalist, a broadcaster or a public relations executive? Our popular communications major opens doors into these and other fascinating fields.
Expert faculty teach you how to apply essential communications theory to your areas of interest. Gain practical experience at the campus newspaper, WQSU-FM radio station, and university television station SU-TV. Another opportunity is with Sterling Communications, a student-run public relations firm that works with local businesses.
Many students secure exciting internships in metropolitan centers. Fox Television, MTV, the National Symphony and the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., are but a few examples of companies at which Susquehanna students have interned. Communications alumni find success in a wide variety of organizations and industries.
