Prehealth Professions Program

Do you want to become a doctor, a dentist, a veterinarian—or enter another health-related career?  Susquehanna prepares you to succeed in a challenging, yet rewarding healthcare field of your choice. Our innovative Central Curriculum and rigorous instruction in the sciences give you a solid foundation for future professional training.

Our graduates enter the fields of medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry, podiatry and chiropractic medicine. Others pursue the Doctor of Physical Therapy or the Doctor of Pharmacy.

The Focus is on You

The Prehealth Professions Program is an advising program which helps you stay on track to achieve your personal and career goals. The advisor in your major together with the Prehealth Professions advisor, Jan Reichard-Brown, Ph.D., will help you plan your course schedule. They will also provide information on internships, career opportunities and the application process for professional schools.

Minor in Health Care Studies

The Health Care Studies minor can add value to your degree. Fundamental biological and medical principles as well as ethical, social and business issues associated with health care are central to this minor.
