• Business alumna returns to speak with LIFE students
Susquehanna University alumna and successful business owner Lauren Elsasser, Class of 2013, spoke Friday to high school students attending this year’s Leadership Institute for Entrepreneurship (LIFE).
Elsasser, who graduated with a business administration degree in entrepreneurship from Susquehanna, started The Miss Cupcake and Let’s Make Whoopie business while a student. She is also marketing and merchandising associate with the start-up company Birchbox in New York.
Among her advice to the aspiring entrepreneurs gathered outside her food truck: Don’t overwhelm yourself. Starting anything is more manageable if you take it piece by piece—just like assembling one of the delicious whoopie pies she gave to the students after her presentation.
