Financial Aid & Scholarships

At Susquehanna, we are committed to making college affordable for our students and their families.

• Susquehanna has made more than $57 million in scholarships, grants, loans and Federal Work-Study Program awards in 2009–10.
• More than 90 percent of our students receive some form of aid.
• Scholarships, awarded independent of financial need, range from $1,000 per year to full tuition.
• More than half our students work in part-time campus jobs to fund their own personal expenses.

• We know that each family may have its own personal financial concerns. We are here to help. We work individually with accepted students and their families to help identify the right resources to fund a Susquehanna education.
• A student’s total cost of attendance is more than just the university charges. We know there will be other expenses, so we use a more comprehensive formula for scholarship awards that factors in other educational costs, such as books and personal expenses, when awarding financial aid.
• Susquehanna participates in an array of federal, state and private programs that provide aid to our students. ROTC and the Yellow Ribbon Program are two examples of such programs.
• When scholarships are awarded from outside sources, they are—to the extent possible—added to other grants and scholarships already in place.
• Payment plans and other low-cost loans are also available to supplement a student’s financial aid package.
