Employers and graduate schools are looking for the same thing - the skills needed to do the job and proof that you can handle the work. Many employers are now only hiring graduates with some type of experience.

A post-graduation survey indicated that 48 percent of the seniors who were accepted into a job or graduate school by graduation also participated in a job experience as undergraduates. An increasing number of students are being offered jobs at the end of their junior year following internship experiences.
