The Faculty: Get to Know the Faculty Outside of Class
- Join the swimming teams coached by Associate Professor of Psychology Ged Schweikert.
- Catch them at The Caf - many faculty regularly lunch in our dining hall.
- Play with the chamber orchestra under the direction of Assistant Professor of Music Jennifer Sacher Wiley
- Attend a "fireside chat" (complete with fake log) in the Scholars' House for a casual visit with Professor of Physics Richard Kozlowski or others.
- Build a Habitat for Humanity house with Associate Professor of Accounting Jerry Habegger.
- Qualify for our assistantship program and work one-on-one with faculty or staff, including Assistant Professor of Biology Matt Persons.
- Celebrate Rosh Hashanah or a Passover Seder with Assistant Professor of English Laurence Roth, director of the Jewish studies program.
- Assist in a Latino Symposium with Associate Professors Leoona Martin and wanda Cordero-Ponce.
- Serve as a student representative on important campus organizations, including the University board of directors, the athletics advisory committee or the curriculum committee.
- Join a research team. Map genes with Assistant Professor of Biology Tammy Tobin-Janzen or explore University archives with Degenstein Professor of History Donald Housley.
- Counsel local senior citizens on preparing tax returns with Associate Professor of Accounting Rick Davis.
- Go out for Crusader football. Other faculty sometimes join the team as visiting coaches "for a day."
- Take a service leaming trip to Appalachia or Central America with Chaplain Mark Wm. Radecke and his wife, Tami.
- Assist in programming for the Arlin Adams Center for Law and Society, led by steering committee members Assistant Professor of Political Science Michele DeMary, Associate Professor of Philosophy Jeff Whitman, Associate Professor of Accounting Rick Davis or Professor of Sociology Tom Walker.
