How to Apply: Education, Graphic Design, Music, Writing Majors

Several programs at Susquehanna have additional admission requirements:


Elementary and Secondary Education

Students interested in the teacher education program must meet a variety of requirements to be formally accepted for student teaching in their junior year at Susquehanna. For more information, please contact Anne Reeves, Susquehanna's education department head, by e-mail or phone at 570-372-4236.

Graphic Design

Applicants for admission to the graphic design program must submit a portfolio of art work (five to 12 examples) and a personal statement summarizing their interest in studying art and graphic design after applying to the university. Music

Applicants for admission to the Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Arts in Music degree programs must audition with the Susquehanna music faculty after applying to the university. Writing

Applicants for admission to the writing program must submit a portfolio when applying for admission. The portfolio can be a short story, a personal essay, a selection of poems, a script or a combination of these. Portfolios should be 10 to 12 double-spaced pages.
