Campus Life: Selinsgrove, The Town We Call Home![]() It's the kind of community some people call picturesque and others just plain friendly Local residents welcome Susquehanna students - downtown is just a few blocks from campus. The town provides a convenient source for videos, gifts, fine dining and off-campus snacks.
Trees, brilliant with fall colors during the town's Market Street Festival, glow with white lights during the winter holidays. Students and visitors can walk, bike or Rollerblade to the peaceful Isle of Que on the Susquehanna River just a half-mile away, or cheer as stock cars race at the Selinsgrove Speedway. The Susquehanna Valley Mall with stores including Gap and American Eagle Outfitters and favorite food places like Applebee's and Taco Bell are just a few minutes away. Nearby are more lakes and streams than you could canoe in four years, and the Pocono ski slopes are just a 90-minute drive. The campus activities office and other groups also regularly sponsor trips to New York, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia. There's only one way to know what's here.
