Susquehanna at Ramada Inn/Monarch Classic - King's College (Wilkes Barre, Pa.) - In the opening round of the tournament, senior Kevin Cuff (Pottsville, Pa./Nativity B.V.M.) paced the Crusaders with a team-high 23 points on 10-of-16 (62.5 percent) shooting from the field. The following night the Crusaders fell to King's College in the consolation game during which Cuff and Josh Robinson shared team-high scoring with 15 apiece. In addition, Cuff received All-Tournament Team honors.
Susquehanna at Coastal Carolina (Conway, S.C.) - In an 83-72 loss to Division-I opponent Coastal Carolina on Saturday afternoon at Kimbel Arena, the senior forward finished with 18 points on 7-of-14 (50 percent) shooting from the field. With 5:03 left in the first half of play, Cuff gave the Crusaders their first and only lead of the game, 24-23, by way of a good jumper.
Susquehanna at Grand Canyon Classic - Grand Canyon University (Phoenix, Ariz.) - Over the weekend, Ashley Watkins (La Habra Heights, Calif./Fullerton C.C.) dished out a couple good performances for the Crusaders (7-4). In Saturday's opening round game she scored a game-high 19 points and added two steals. The following day the Crusaders defeated Purchase College 68-55. Watkins contributed 15 points while adding six boards, four assists and a blocked shot all within 21 minutes of action. Her weekend performances assured her a seat on the All-Tournament Team.
